Rampart Defence Engineering was founded in 2004 with a single mandate: bring European ballistic certification standards to armoured vehicle engineering in Sub-Saharan Africa. At the time, the region's procurement market depended on imported platforms with limited in-country support. We changed that.
Our facility operates to EN 1063, STANAG 4569, and VPAM standards across all three service lines. Every vehicle that leaves our workshop carries a signed ballistic test certificate, a full documentation package, and a post-delivery support commitment. No exceptions.
We serve heads of state, national armed forces, multinational corporations, and humanitarian organisations across 15 countries. Our clients do not advertise their security arrangements. Neither do we.

Chief Executive Officer
Former Special Forces officer with 22 years of operational and procurement experience across West and Central Africa. Founded Rampart in 2004 with a mandate to bring European certification standards to Sub-Saharan armoured vehicle engineering.
Sarah Mwangi
Director of Operations
Programme manager with a background in military logistics and supply chain. Manages all client delivery timelines, workshop scheduling, and sub-contractor quality oversight. 15 years experience coordinating large-scale vehicle programmes across Africa and the Gulf.
Daniel Bamidele
Head of Engineering
EN 287-certified master welder and structural engineer with 18 years in armoured vehicle manufacture and repair. Leads all ballistic integration and quality certification programmes. Responsible for zero failed ballistic tests across 500+ vehicle deliveries.
Dr. Akram Abdelaziz
Ballistic Testing & Certification Advisor
External certification advisor with 25 years in European ballistic testing laboratories. Oversees compliance with EN 1063, STANAG 4569, and VPAM standards. Conducts independent ballistic verification on all Rampart-certified deliveries.
